We are on the lookout for a Senior Project Engineer to support delivery of our Rockhampton projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced water / wastewater engineer who has delivered brownfield Waste Water Treatment Plants. The ideal candidate would also would also have commissioning and cut-over experience.
The Role
As Senior Project Engineer, you will report directly to the Project Manager. You will be working closely with subcontractors and vendors you will have the ability to utilise and further develop your already sound financial and contract management acumen. You will provide leadership to a close-knit team of professionals and drive Haslin’s HSEQ systems.
The role of the Senior Project Engineer is responsible for:
• Managing project activities and work scope
• Leadership of Project Engineers & Site Engineers
• Liaising with Client, Subcontractors and all project stakeholders
• Acting as focal point for technical advice and providing the project with best practice methods
• Ensuring project is delivered to programme, budget and the highest safety standards
• Management of plant, labour and materials
• Monitoring monthly forecasts
• Providing innovative problem solving and technical expertise
About you
You are an accomplished Senior Project Manager with experience in the Water / Waste Water sector and will be able to demonstrate:
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
• 5 plus years experience as a Project Engineer
• What’s most important to us is your attitude, commitment, work ethic and ability to integrate into our work culture
• Strong team focus, consultation, communication and leadership skills
• Understanding of WHS legislation compliance and management systems
• Knowledge of quality management systems ISO 9001 and experience managing quality assurance
• Electronic data management and other relevant computer skills
