Your Role:
As a Senior Engineer for Mechanical & Structures, Aerospace related design, analysis and other technical support services, within your technical discipline and in accordance with the Engineering Management System and applicable regulatory requirements.
You will also have accountability for:
Conducting independent checks of E&TS documentation.
Attain and exercise a minimum of CAMO Engineer (CE) and Design Engineer (DE1) Engineering Authorisation.
The provision of E&TS input to maintaining fleet configurations, technical and operational publications.
Contributing to System Safety Engineering on all aspects of emerging System Safety issues and ensure all risks are communicated and recorded.
Managing the delegated scope of E&TS workflow and tasks, as assigned.
Investigate, report and communicate compliance issues to the E&TS leadership as appropriate.
Maintaining currency with the DASR Regulations, NGA Design Assurance System, and associated NGA Policy & Procedure.
Supporting the development of improvement strategies and continuous improvement plans for the Engineering Management System.
Mentoring and coaching of personnel within the E&TS capability.
Attending all mandatory training and maintaining a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Log.
About You:
Ability to obtain Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) or equivalent state-based engineering registration
Capable of attaining or currently hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance
Demonstrated experience as a Professional Engineer or Technician within the aviation industry or demonstrated experience managing the continuing airworthiness of an aircraft type
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Demonstrated performance, people leadership and customer interface skills/experience
Knowledge of configuration management, airworthiness regulation, and certification concepts utilised by ADF and/or civil operators
Direct technical experience in an aircraft related Through Life Support program
A comprehensive knowledge of working within ISO 9001 standards framework
