We are seeking a Project Engineer – Mechanical to join our growing Building Services team in Perth.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small and agile local team at a key stage of growth, backed by the capability, systems and expertise of a well-established national business. You will play a hands-on role in delivering mechanical building services projects while helping expand ACOR’s Building Services presence in the Perth market.

With a strong focus on healthcare and complex building projects, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with local leadership, build your profile in the WA market, and take on increasing responsibility as the team grows. By the time you join, our Perth team will also be operating from a new Perth CBD office, creating an exciting platform for the next phase of growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver mechanical building services design across healthcare and other complex building projects.
  • Prepare high-quality technical documentation including reports, specifications, calculations and design advice.
  • Collaborate with clients, project teams and other disciplines to deliver coordinated, commercially successful outcomes.
  • Manage assigned project deliverables, timelines and budgets while proactively identifying delivery risks.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the local mechanical capability.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering within a building services consultancy environment, ideally with healthcare project exposure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with Chartered status (or working towards) and relevant professional registration.
  • Strong understanding of NCC, Australian Standards and mechanical building services design, including HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency with relevant engineering tools such as CAMEL, Bluebeam and associated design platforms.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and project delivery skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
