About the Role

As a Mechanical Production Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting specialised manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant operations within a TGA-regulated environment. Your technical expertise will directly support quality production outcomes that meet client expectations..

Your responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:
Provide technical support to all relevant departments and technical teams to assist with any technical issues in the organisation.
Liaise with senior engineer and the technical team regarding mechanical design, production, testing, or any documentation-related issue of all machinery and equipment.
Set-up, calibrate, and complete machine changeovers in accordance with TGA manufacturing instructions and SOPs
Maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Providing regular calibration audits on equipment.
Conduct complex troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime
Ensure high-quality production with minimal waste and efficient cycle times
Adhere to HACCP and TGA quality and compliance standards
Perform site inspection to ensure compliance as per the requirements to increase efficiency.
Ability to understand and implement quality management systems, tools, and processes within a culture of continuous improvement
Effective oral and written communication skills with an ability to liaise with clients, vendor and contractor
Ability to identify errors and have key attention to detail in assessing the information.
Installations, assemble, setup and test all the electronic equipment and machine.
Work with various electronic devices, including circuit boards, sensors, PLC,  and power supplies.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic faults in the manufacturing equipment
Understanding the importance of safe work procedures in a food environment and adherence to the implementation of principles of food safety.

To be successful in the role you would ideally have:

At least a Certificate IV in engineering or Bachelors in technology.
Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in a mechanical production or maintenance role.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently or in a team
Experience operating and maintaining diverse manufacturing equipment
Background in FMCG or pharmaceutical production highly desirable
Must have experience working with people with a disability

Job Type: Full Time permanent
Salary: AUD 77,000 per annum + Superannuation
