Expression of Interest – Mechanical Fitter 4/4 Roster WMP Filter House   – Secondment

 

We are inviting expressions of interest from current Tronox Northern Operations employees who are interested in a six month trial secondment opportunity in the role of Mechanical Fitter on a 4/4 roster located at the Waste Management Filter House. We are looking for people with current Tronox experience, who would like to expand their skills and experience within maintenance.

 

This secondment opportunity reports to the Maintenance Supervisor within the maintenance team working 4 days on 4 days off, 12 hour shifts with occasional reactive maintenance shift coverage as and when required.

 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensure the reliability and integrity of plant and equipment by identifying, reporting, and preventing mechanical failures.
  • Take a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and ensure high-quality workmanship when repairs are needed.
  • Complete all documentation accurately to ensure detailed and precise information is entered into Tronox’s Maintenance Systems.
  • Foster a positive safety culture by identifying and reporting hazards.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment and assist operators with equipment preparation and isolation when required.
  • Record process information and suggest opportunities for improvement.

 

About You

 

We are currently looking for applicants who are competent in the following areas: 

  • Current Tronox employee.
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate – Fitting (essential)
  • Understanding of maintenance and production priorities and requirements.
  • Experience in fault finding and repairs to hydraulic systems.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently when required.
  • Team-oriented with a flexible approach, willing to work additional hours when necessary.
  • A strong commitment to safety practices.
  • Clear demonstration of following Tronox Values.
