Mecha is seeking qualified Mechanical Fitters, Machinists, and Boilermakers for both workshop and site-based shutdown roles in Gladstone. Whether you enjoy the structure and precision of a workshop or thrive on with a variety of site work and shutdowns we want to hear from you.

Roles that are Available:

Workshop-Based: Workshop (Local Only):

• Fitter/Machinist – Manual machining using lathes, mills, and borers. Precision work on mechanical components.
• Mechanical Fitter – Assembly, maintenance, and overhaul of pumps, gearboxes, and fixed plant equipment.
• Boilermaker – Welding and fabrication of structural and mechanical components to spec.

Site Based

Mechanical Fitters & Boilermakers – Maintenance, installations, and planned shutdowns across QAL, BSL, RTAY, QMAG & QGC

What We are Looking For

• Relevant Trade Qualification – Mechanical Fitter, Fitter Machinist or Boilermaker
• Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety
• Ability to work locally in Gladstone and Rockhampton
• Site roles: Ability to complete site inductions, medicals, and compliance (Blue/Yellow Medipass)
