Mechanical Fitter / Service Bay All-Rounder

North Rockhampton, QLD | Full Time | $40-$45 per hour plus penalties

All Industries is looking for an experienced and reliable Mechanical Fitter / Service Bay All-Rounder to support our Heavy and Medium Vehicle operations.

Your Role:

In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing heavy vehicles — ensuring safety, compliance, and quality every step of the way.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing maintenance and repair work on heavy vehicles in line with NHVAS and industry standards
• Conducting diagnostics, inspections, and fault finding
• Providing breakdown assistance as needed
• Overhauling trucks: engine rebuilds, transmission repairs, chassis refurbishments
• Using tools and equipment safely and correctly
• Following job sheets and completing work within allocated timeframes
• Contributing to a positive team environment and mentoring apprentices
• Complying with WHS policies and procedures

What You’ll Bring:

• Qualified Diesel Fitter / Truck Mechanic (essential)
• Strong knowledge and experience with highway trucks and light vehicles
• Confidence in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
• Experience with Volvo trucks (highly regarded)
• Auto electrical skills (desirable)
• HR licence and forklift licence (desirable)
• Sound computer literacy (Outlook, Word)
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and producing high-quality work
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical (incl. drug & alcohol screening)
