Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in FMCG or food processing? Take the next step in your career with Harvey Beef, Western Australia’s largest beef processor, and be part of a high-performing Maintenance & Reliability team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability and production efficiency. Working in a rotating day/night roster (7-day fortnight rotation), you’ll be responsible for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives in our state-of-the-art facility located in Harvey, WA.
This is a hands-on role suited for a trade-qualified fitter with strong mechanical fitting experience in FMCG, food processing, or manufacturing.
Conduct machinery inspections, adjustments, and repairs
Troubleshoot process and equipment failures to determine root causes
Drive preventative & ongoing maintenance programs
Support Engineering & Production teams in continuous improvements
Monitor equipment performance and recommend process enhancements
Supervise TA’s and contract staff, ensuring compliance with standards
Manufacture, repair, and fault-find hydraulic & pneumatic equipment
Trade Certificate (Mechanical Fitter) – Essential
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics (highly regarded)
Exposure to FMCG, food processing, or red meat industry (preferred)
Experience with vacuum packaging equipment (advantageous)
Strong knowledge of OHS compliance & confined space requirements
Ability to fabricate & weld (advantageous)
