About the Role

This is a newly created role designed to support our continued growth and investment in production efficiency. We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Mechanical Fitter to join our team. In this fast-paced position, you’ll work closely with the wider production team to attend to equipment breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance that reduces downtime and keeps operations running smoothly.

What you’ll do:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of machinery
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to improve equipment reliability
• Assist with machinery installations and upgrades
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment status
• Collaborate with the production team to resolve issues
• Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in line with WHS standards

What we’re looking for:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (signage or printing preferred)
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a strong safety focus
