Mechanical Fitter

Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join our high performing Maintenance & Engineering Team on site. Clermont Open Cut produces close to 12 million tonnes of coal per year and is a high performing, low cost, truck & shovel operation, located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the core purpose of this vital role is to assist in the day-to-day requirements of a Maintenance Fitter for Clermont Open Cut. As we have multiple vacancies across our Field and HME Workshop teams, you will be a key stakeholder in providing technical leadership, guidance, and support to site regarding maintenance management and compliance to the SHMS.

As a Maintenance Fitter at Clermont Open Cut your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reliability focused mindset
• Willingness to work and contribute in a team environment
• Work unsupervised in breakdown conditions
• Follow safe work practices
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and housekeeping standards

You will possess the following skillset and attributes:

• Diesel Fitter Trade Certificate

(At a minimum MEM18001C, MEM18072B, MEM13003B, MEM18071B, Hyd1 & 2 or equivalent Hyd Competencies must be obtained with trade cert)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in large mining operation
• QLD Drivers Licence

This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practice using a hands-on approach.
