About the role

We’re on the lookout for a Mechanical Designer to jump in and hit the ground running on an 8-month fixed term contract! If you’re an AutoCAD and Inventor 3D pro with a knack for technical drawings, this could be your next move.

This is a hybrid position with a minimum of 3 days in our North Sydney office.

Key Responsibilities include

• Create precise engineering drawings and 3D models for facilities and pipelines
• Work closely with Principal/Integrity Engineers, Senior Mechanical Designers and Project Managers to bring designs to life with a focus on optimising cost, risk, and service level requirements
• Ensure compliance with Australian Drafting standards AS1100:101 and AS1100:201, and working knowledge of AS1100:501
• Drawing management
• Meet all responsibilities of the Jemena Health & Safety and Environment Policy

About You

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys seeing their designs come to life, and possesses the following skills and attributes:

• Associate Diploma in Engineering or other related tertiary qualifications is advantageous
• 5+ years in mechanical design / drafting
• Strong AutoCAD & Inventor 3D skills (essential)
• Understanding of the requirements of the AS2885 suite of standards, AS4041, AS4645 suite of standards and AS5601
• A collaborative mindset – you’ll be working alongside multiple teams
