Wormall Civil, a proudly Western Australian owned and operated business, is seeking a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our high-performing Workshop Team based at our Cardup facility.

About the Company:

Wormall Civil has been in operation for over 40 years and has built a strong reputation as a leading Western Australian civil construction company, delivering excellence in engineering, construction, and project management services.

We are currently delivering multiple projects across the Perth metropolitan area – stretching from Two Rocks to Mandurah – as well as from Australind to Margaret River in the South West region.

Our projects are multi-staged, with values ranging from $500K to $10 million.

About the Role:

As a Light Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance of our fleet. Your duties will include fitting, stripping, testing, servicing, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring all workshop activities meet our high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with maintaining the light vehicle fleet
  • Conduct daily prestart checks and workplace inspections
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Complete all reporting accurately and promptly
  • Operate in accordance with Wormall Civil’s high safety and environmental standards
  • Participate in the preparation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and safe work procedures

What You Will Bring:

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Light)
  • HR Manual Driver’s Licence and Construction White Card
  • Previous experience in civil, mining, or related industries
  • Strong safety focus and proactive attitude
  • 3rd and 4th year apprentices currently completing their qualifications are highly encouraged to apply

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Air Conditioning Certification
  • Forklift Licence, Working at Heights, Dogman’s or Crane Tickets
  • First Aid Certificate
