HVAC Service Manager
Location: Based in Adelaide (Woodville HQ), with oversight of metro & regional operations

About the Role
The Service Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the HVAC service team. This includes job scheduling, technician management, safety and compliance oversight, quoting service works, and developing client relationships. A key function of the role is to ensure service delivery is efficient, profitable, and audit-compliant—while also identifying new opportunities for growth in both metropolitan and regional markets.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
• Plan and schedule HVAC service, maintenance, and breakdown work across metro and regional areas
• Allocate staff and subcontractor resources to meet delivery deadlines
• Monitor job progress, labour productivity, and quality outcomes
• Ensure timely completion of documentation, reports, and invoicing
• Maintain accurate asset registers, service logs, and warranty information
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and supervise HVAC technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors
• Conduct site visits, toolbox talks, and one-on-one mentoring
• Ensure staff training and licences are current (e.g., ARCtick, EWP, WHS)
• Support apprentice development in line with training plans
Client Management & Business Growth
• Be the key contact for service clients, maintaining strong working relationships
• Provide technical advice, quote repairs and minor works
• Respond to client enquiries and manage service-level expectations
• Identify new service or upgrade opportunities during site inspections
• Collaborate with the Strategy and Estimating team to grow the client base
• Track and convert quote opportunities into scheduled works
Safety, Compliance & Refrigeration Audits
• Ensure full compliance with WHS procedures, legislation, and permits
• Oversee the correct use of SWMS, PPE, and site safety protocols
• Manage and maintain all refrigerant and ARCtick compliance records
• Ensure refrigerant logs, leak testing, and servicing data meet regulatory audit standards
• Lead investigations into incidents and non-conformances
• Ensure the company is always audit-ready and meets EPA and Ozone Protection obligations

About You
You’re a skilled Service Manager who takes pride in your work, values safety, and delivers quality service every time. You’re self-motivated, adaptable, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a professional team.
You’ll bring:
• HVAC/Refrigeration trade qualification
• ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence (Full)
• Strong background in HVAC service delivery and team leadership
• Experience quoting repair works, identifying upsell opportunities, and client engagement
• Knowledge of WHS legislation, safe work systems, and compliance audits
• Demonstrated experience with scheduling, service software, and report tracking
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Valid SA Driver’s Licence
Desirable (but not essential):
• Cert IV in Leadership & Management
• First Aid, CPR, Working at Heights, and EWP licences
• Familiarity with government, defence, or regulated industry service environments
• Experience with SimPRO or other job management platforms
