We are seeking multiple reliable Handypersons to join our Engineering team at Hilton Adelaide. The ideal candidates will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our hotel facilities. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.

Hilton Adelaide is centrally located, overlooking Victoria Square. The hotel has 377 rooms ranging from guest rooms to the executive floor and suites. Hilton Adelaide offers unrivalled conference and events facilities comprising of 19 meeting rooms. It is the only 5-star hotel in Adelaide able to host 500 delegates to meet, eat and sleep, all under one roof.

 

What You'll be doing

·         Carry out scheduled maintenance and general repairs across guest rooms, corridors, and hotel facilities

·         Perform minor repairs and upkeep to ensure all areas are safe, functional, and visually appealing

·         Ensure guest rooms and public areas are in excellent condition and fully operational prior to guest arrival

·         Identify and promptly report any safety hazards, damages, or urgent maintenance issues to the Engineering team

·         Communicate clearly when receiving tasks and provide timely updates on job progress or concerns

·         Follow up and close out all maintenance jobs within expected timeframes

·         Take initiative and act quickly to resolve issues before they impact the guest experience

·         Support the Engineering Department with special projects and other assigned tasks

·         Collaborate with other departments when required, contributing to our “one team” culture
