Handyperson Agriculture repairs – Expression of Interest

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Handyperson to join our team in Chinchilla, Queensland. This permanent, full-time role is essential for maintaining and repairing agricultural equipment and facilities, ensuring operational efficiency within the agriculture, fishing, and forestry sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in practical repairs and maintenance, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Repair and upgrade infrastructure, including some housing repairs if able to do so.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimise downtime.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a handyperson or maintenance role, preferably within the agriculture or building/ trades sector.
• Strong practical skills in mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.
• A valid driver’s licence is essential.
