About the Role

We are looking for a qualified field service plant mechanic to join our team. Your role will be critical to the ongoing maintenance of United Rentals Earthmoving Equipment.

If you have experience in servicing plant and equipment such as, excavators, dump trucks, and compaction equipment then we would love to hear from you!

What you'll be doing..

• Managing on site repair, maintenance and test tasks
• Providing customer support during field service visits.
• Build relationships and trust with customers.
• Equipment maintenance, service and repairs 
• Recording details of work performed in our maintenance system
• Complete risk assessments and pre hire inspections
• Workshop maintenance and repairs on plant
• Diagnose, overhaul, repair, tune, maintain and test diesel vehicles and plant equipment as required. 
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

What will make you successful in the role

• Relevant Trade Certificate - Essential
• Previous experience on excavators up to 35t and other mobile plant - e.g. Kubota / Komatsu / Yanmar/ Kobelco 
• Current Driver's Licence
• White card
• Forklift
