We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team and help us maintain these high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform field service work on heavy diesel machinery and agricultural equipment.
Conduct mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and servicing with a high level of precision.
Occasionally perform Light Vehicle (LV) mechanical duties in the workshop as required.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including job cards and service reports.
Travel to client sites with a company vehicle to provide on-site mechanical support.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance comply with safety standards and Spotty’s Mechanical protocols and policies.
Communicate effectively with clients and management regarding work progress and job requirements.
Pre-Employment Requirements
National Police Clearance – Required before starting employment.
Pre-Employment Medical Assessment – To confirm physical fitness for the role.
Employment Details
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch break). Flexibility required based on workload demands.
Trial Period: 3-month probation with performance check-ins at 1-month and 2-month marks.
Remuneration & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $50 – $62 per hour + Superannuation.
Pay Cycle: Weekly via bank transfer.
Phone Allowance: $25 per week.
Company Fuel Card & Vehicle: Work vehicle provided for personal use around town.
Uniforms Provided:
3x Shorts, 3x Shirts, 1x Jumper, 1x Pair of Boots per year.
Optional: Overalls available if preferred.
Leave & Overtime
Annual Leave Restrictions: Leave requests during seeding and harvest periods will not be approved unless pre-approved by management.
Overtime & TOIL (Time Off in Lieu): Any overtime must be discussed and approved by management.
Commission & Bonus Structure
Machinery Sales Commission:
Generate a lead resulting in a machinery sale, and earn a 2.5% commission on the contracted sale price.
Performance-Based Bonuses:
Bonuses are based on efficiency and productivity.
Measured by comparing billed hours vs. actual hours worked.
Targets and bonus structures will be reviewed and communicated during employment.
Reporting & Communication
Reports to: Jared & Corrina Rawlinson (Managing Directors)
Communication via Slack, email, and team meetings.
Weekly updates and progress check-ins.
