About the Role

You’ll be responsible for electrical maintenance and repairs across our macadamia farms and processing facilities. During busy harvest times, you’ll focus on keeping our machinery and systems running smoothly. In quieter periods, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in automation projects and contribute to improvements in our technology and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Installations & Maintenance:

  • Carry out electrical work on farm machinery, irrigation systems, processing equipment, and buildings.
  • Diagnose faults, complete repairs, and ensure safety standards are met.

Automation & Technology:

  • Assist with the installation, troubleshooting, and improvement of automation systems (e.g., sensors, control panels, PLCs).
  • Contribute to projects involving programming or IT systems as needed.

General IT Support:

  • Support the team with IT-related tasks (e.g., connecting devices, troubleshooting equipment) as required.

Teamwork & Flexibility:

  • Work closely with farm managers and operations teams.
  • Be willing to pitch in where needed, especially during peak harvest.

About You

  • Trade qualified electrician with a current licence (essential)
  • Experience or interest in automation, technology, or programming
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technology
  • Experience with farm machinery, irrigation, or food processing equipment (desirable but not essential)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence (essential)
