Diesel Mechanic

Summary:

Picton Civil are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic for Workshop/Field Based role. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing various earthmoving machinery, as well as trucks and trailers, ensuring all equipment operates safely and reliably.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on LVs, civil machinery, and heavy vehicles

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults

• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems

• Perform engine overhauls and rebuilds as needed

• Communicate with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are maintained and repaired in a timely manner

• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines Qualifications:

• Relevant trade qualification with minimum 3+ years post trade experience

• Valid driver’s license

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

• Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Willing to work overtime
