All Energy Contracting (AEC) is a leading construction contractor specialising in the energy and renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, storage, and hybrid facilities. Our core services comprise civil works, trenching, cable installation, electrical and mechanical installations, terminations, testing, commissioning (DC, LV, HV), operations support and maintenance expertise.

Our goal is to generate sustainable returns by delivering projects for our clients safely, efficiently, and reliably while providing rewarding and meaningful careers for our people. Headquartered in Brisbane, we are a dynamic business with projects across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Fitter Mechanic to join our Plant and Equipment team and perform scheduled servicing, repairs, upgrades and breakdown maintenance on AEC’s extensive fleet of heavy-duty plant and equipment.

The fleet supports AEC’s project and construction activities across Australia and New Zealand, where the availability, utilisation, and quality of each asset is key to achieving project performance and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Apply technical trade expertise to perform scheduled servicing efficiently, maximising equipment performance and minimise downtime.

• Diagnose and repair faults and breakdowns quickly and accurately, ensuring high availability of fleet.

• Travel between sites to carry out scheduled servicing, repairs, and breakdown maintenance of all mobile plant and machinery.

• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts and consumables used.

• Input into developing asset management strategies and planning maintenance activities across the fleet and project locations in Australia and New Zealand

• Communicate clearly with operation/project managers and site personnel about fleet maintenance and repair activities, timelines and priorities.

• Adherence to AEC Group values, code of conduct and compliance to AEC Group policies and procedures and industry standards

• Strictly adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and risk assessment tools

• Implement innovative and practical processes and practices to underpin the efficiency and effectiveness of fleet

We are looking for an experienced diesel fitter mechanic, with a great “can-do” attitude, working from site-to-site, interfacing with our project teams and performing high-quality maintenance.

Flexibility and travel is essential for this role as projects are remote and spread across Australia and New Zealand. The working roster is to be discussed with the successful applicant, preferably based out of Brisbane or Southeast Queensland (averaging 44 hours per week, working on 10 in 4 roster, or similar)

Qualifications:

• Trade certification in either Diesel Fitter, Heavy Road Transport, or equivalent.

• Previous experience working on heavy machinery or mobile plant (advantageous)

• Auto electrical knowledge is advantageous but not a necessity.

• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to juggle competing priorities.

• Driver’s license required & Construction Induction Card (White Card) required
