Founded in 2017 and based in Gladstone, Sync Lift Engineering has grown into a trusted provider of engineering, maintenance, and construction services; across the Mining, Resources, Energy, Renewables, Infrastructure and Marine sectors as well as large-scale projects and shutdowns throughout Queensland.

Our team specialises in:

• Fabrication.
• Major and minor maintenance.
• Large-scale shutdowns and project delivery.

With a strong reputation for technical excellence, reliability, and innovative, practical solutions, we combine advanced systems with a highly skilled workforce to deliver real results from pit to port.

Position Overview

We’re seeking experienced and dedicated Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers to join our team on major shutdowns and projects across the Bowen Basin.

In this role, you’ll perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on key mining equipment and infrastructure including:

• Draglines
• Shovels
• CHPPs
• Stacker Reclaimers.

What We’re Looking For

• Australian-recognised Trade qualification.
• Experience working on or with Draglines.
• Construction White Card.
• Current Working at Heights, Confined Space, and Gas Test Atmospheres certifications (within two years).
• Current Standard 11 certificate.
• A strong commitment to safety and team culture.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications (Highly Regarded)

• Current Coal Board Medical, or ability to obtain
• MSIC (Marine Security Identification Card)
• HRWL tickets (LF, WP, DG, CB) — e.g. Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging, Overhead Crane.
• Telehandler ticket.

• September: Dragline shutdown.
• October: Stacker Reclaimer shutdown.
• November: Two Dragline shutdowns.
• December: Dragline shutdown.

2026

• January: Wash Plant shutdown.
• February: Shovel shutdown.
• April: Dragline shutdown.
• May: Dragline shutdown.
• June: Dragline shutdown.
