— Under direct supervision, prepares, applies, and touches up paint on aircraft fuselage.
— Performs high quality repairs to painted surfaces of aircraft interior and exteriors in the shop and on-wing. Applies paint to surfaces using spray equipment and other manual/mechanical methods.
— Interprets material specifications to ensure finished product meets design and engineering requirements with a high level of quality and detail.
— Complies with and champions Safety, 5S and housekeeping. Ensures the protection of aircraft.
— Works to develop and implement process improvements that address safety, reduce cost, reduce cycle time, and man-hours.
— Utilizes the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and sign-off work.
— Assists in maintaining shop equipment.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor— Previous experience in paint finishing processes preferred in aerospace industry preferred.
— Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift
— Ability to operate and maintain sanders, grinders, paint spray guns, platform lifts, forklifts, etc.
— Trade school certificate or apprenticeship a plus.
— Ability to understand simple English language.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation a plus— Ability to work / carry out maintenance tasks without constant supervision
