The Role

Due to significant growth, MCA Engineering is looking for a Workshop Supervisor / Leading Hand Boilermaker with 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role. The ideal applicant will demonstrate experience supervising a crew of trades people and apprentices. In this role you will need to have a passion for the industry and the ability to drive and motivate people in a positive manner.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising and leading a team of trades and apprentices in a workshop environment
• Daily reporting and documentation
• Overseeing and reviewing quality of work
• WHS – Proven ability to always adhere to safety procedures and maintain a safe, work environment
• A strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail
• A commitment to quality and pride in your work
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Forklift license and confined space ticket – Would be an advantage

About you:

• Cert III Trade Fabrication at a minimum
• White Card
• Forklift licence
• Experience as a Supervisor / Leading Hand within a mining company would be viewed favourably
• Positive attitude
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing.
