About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Welder / Fitter to join our Wetherill Park team on a permanent full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm).

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining plant reliability through high-quality welding, fabrication, and mechanical maintenance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform welding, fabrication, and installation of plant and process equipment
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on pipework, pumps, valves and rotating equipment
  • Support preventative and breakdown maintenance activities across site
  • Ensure high-quality welds on stainless and mild steel pipework
  • Maintain accurate records using MEX (maintenance system)
  • Work safely within a chemical manufacturing environment

What You’ll Bring

  • Trade qualification (Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter – Cert III/IV)
  • Strong experience in manufacturing, chemical, or heavy industry environments
  • Proven welding capability (TIG/MIG), particularly on pipework (stainless & mild steel)
  • Ability to perform high-quality welds on process piping
  • Mechanical aptitude (e.g. pumps, valves, gearboxes)
  • Licences: Forklift, EWP and Confined Space (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong safety focus and team mindset
