We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our Crestmead Manufacturing Team.

This is a permanent position working 38 hours per week, plus overtime as required.

The Role:

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Welder/Fabricatorโ€™s primary focus is to:

  • Actively participate in the day-to-day activities of Oxworks welding and fabrication focusing on safety, quality, productivity and efficiency, ensuring all product is produced within approved tolerances
  • Interpret detailed drawings as generated in AutoCAD, TEKLA & EXCEL, and produce high quality finished product as per each work order issued
  • Achieve 100% DIFOT for the workday whilst minimising unnecessary errors and reworks
  • Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of machinery to assist up time of operations
  • Improve efficiency and reduce operating costs through accountability to standard operating procedures
  • Promote teamwork within the Manufacturing departments to ensure all staff are working to a common goal of exceeding customer expectations
  • Ensure compliance at all times in the area of Safety
  • Promote a harmonious environment with the Q1 Team to foster a positive and can-do approach to servicing the needs of Oxworks customers above the needs of a single department
  • Implement and execute directives that support the business strategy

In summary, the Welder/Fabricator is a key person in the Manufacturing process and is responsible for providing quality assurance to the Fabricated products and operations.

What you need:

  • Relevant certification in welding/fabrication
  • Ability to read and understand complex drawings
  • Experience operating and maintaining Welding machinery
  • Current Driverโ€™s License
  • Current Forklift License (preferred)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment within manufacturing
  • Good communication skills
