Expressions of Interest for a WELDER required to join the AUSPAN Gnowangerup team.
About The Role:
The Welder will be responsible for maintaining high quality standards in the production of structural steel frames.
The Main Responsibilities Would Include:
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks
- Ascertain correct weld types for use based on project needs
- Field install welds, including duct work, light fixtures, vents, fans, metal sheeting and other parts
- Coordinate with field labour crew for efficient installations
- Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
- De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
About You ā Skills and Experience
- Welder trade qualification
- Proven experience working in a welder position
- Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to mark up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status.
- Manage welding work and ensure compliance to all specifications to perform defect work.
- Safely operate various manual and automated welding equipment for welding work
- High level attention to detail.
- Proficiency in time management and prioritisation of tasks.

The Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to pass a functional pre-employ medical including drug and alcohol screen.
- Hold a current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
- Provide a National Police Clearance obtained within the last 6 months.
- Be health, safety and environmentally conscious
- Display a collaborative teamwork style with well-honed conflict resolution skills
- The ability to make practical decisions under pressure.
