Ready to launch your career? Broken Hill City Council has an exciting career opportunity working within our Infrastructure Operations team as a Trainee Labourer/Plant Operator.
Reporting directly to the relevant Infrastructure Operations Coordinator, you will support Broken Hill City Council in delivering valued services to the community. The role undertakes general labouring duties and assists in operating plant across Council’s Infrastructure operations.
We are seeking suitable applicants enthusiastic about pursuing a career in Infrastructure Operations. You will complete a Certificate in Civil Operations while gaining practical experience working in the role. You will undertake duties in areas of roadworks, building construction and/or plant operation. While recent work experience and experience in the use of plant and equipment is beneficial, training will be provided to ensure the relevant skills and licences are attained by the successful candidate.
You will need to have competent written and communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and a commitment to safe work practices.
