Tradesperson – Cabinet Maker/Shop Fitter

Xzibit
Full-time
On-site
Luscombe, Queensland, Australia
Fitters, Turners & Machinists

Are you a production gun with a passion for precision?

About the Role

Xzibit isn’t your typical cabinet maker’s workshop. We’re a fast-paced, high-volume environment where ideas become commercial exhibitions and permanent installations. Our reputation is built on exceptional quality and a commitment to delivering on time, every time.

We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on Cabinet Maker/Shop Fitter who thrives on getting things done—and done right. If you have a knack for turning high-end designs into reality and want to see your work showcased at iconic events like the Avalon Air Show or permanent sites like the Lifeflight Visitor Centre on the Sunshine Coast, this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work closely with our creative team to produce custom pieces that bring our designs to life.
  • Take responsibility for your work on the workshop floor, fabricating and assembling with precision. You'll be the one ensuring that every piece is built to our exacting standards, ready for install.
  • Travel to oversee and execute on-site installations and pack-downs, ensuring our work is presented flawlessly.
  • Provide critical feedback in project reviews, helping us continuously refine our processes and maintain our reputation for quality.
  • Enjoy the variety—no two projects are ever the same! One week you might be building a show-stopping exhibition stand, the next you’re fitting out a museum or visitor center. We value initiative, creativity, and a willingness to tackle new challenges.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Cabinet Maker or Shop Fitter, with a Certificate III in Cabinet Making/Shopfitting
  • A master of your trade who takes immense pride in your work and strives for perfection
  • You're not afraid of hard work and are just as comfortable running a production bench as you are managing an on-site installation. You understand that high-volume work requires flexibility and a can-do spirit.
  • QLD White Card and a valid Australian driver’s license

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary and great benefits
  • Supportive team, regular BBQs, and Friday drinks
  • Awards and recognition at monthly meetings
  • Opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
  • Work on exciting, high-profile projects—think big, bold, and never boring!

If you’re a production gun ready for your next adventure, we want to hear from you!

Apply now and help us shape the future of exhibitions and permanent installations.
