So, what duties can you expect to do in your apprenticeship?

  • Gaining hands-on experience across landmark commercial and civic landscapes throughout Sydney.
  • Working for one of Australia’s leading commercial horticulture and landscape maintenance providers.
  • Immersed in a fast-paced, skills-focused environment with strong on-the-job learning.
  • Assisting in the delivery of high-quality garden and turf maintenance across diverse commercial sites.
  • Applying herbicides and pesticides safely and effectively under supervision.
  • Learning plant identification, seasonal care routines, and pest/disease recognition.
  • Participating in structured TAFE training — combining theory with practical assessments.
  • Collaborating with experienced tradespeople and working as part of a dedicated landscape team.
  • Progressing toward completion of Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.
  • Developing technical skills in planting, pruning, soil improvement, and plant health care.
  • Operating basic horticultural machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assisting with the upkeep and minor repairs of irrigation and drainage systems.
  • Supporting the installation and maintenance of water features and softscape elements.
  • Learning environmentally sustainable practices and principles of land improvement and conservation.

What are we looking for?

  • Someone with a genuine interest in getting trade qualified while being paid
  • An interest in pursuing a career in the Landscape/Horticulture Industry.
  • Someone that wants a career with many great opportunities for advancement
  • Available to work Monday to Friday with 1 day a week at Tafe

What will you need?

  • Driver’s licence and own transport. Or ability to get to site.
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
