About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Welder with MIG (and ideally TIG) experience to join our team.
Key duties for this role include:
• Undertake welding duties in a timely and accurate manner.
• Hands on production labour.
• Assists in design and building of assembly jigs when required.
• Participate in weld qualifications when required.
• Inducts/ trains staff in the use of machines if required.
• Actively supports implementation of safety systems & upgrades.
• Dimensional and quality checks on the job.
• Reports NCR's & corrections made.
• Reports safety issues immediately.
• Checks parts and quantity before signing off on a job.
• Ensures factory has neat steel storage/stock and clear walkways.
• Leaves work area clean and tidy with tools back in place.
• Loads and unloads trucks when requested only if inducted on the necessary equipment.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
• Be trade qualified, however we will consider candidates with significant TIG/MIG fabrication experience who are not trade qualified.
• Have good physical abilities as lifting will be required.
• Have a high level of energy and commitment.
• Have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Have excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
• Have problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Be professional with colleagues and customers.
• Have effective written and oral communication skills.
• Have excellent listening skills.
• Have great attention to detail and the ability to take initiative.
• Be willing to undergo a medical including drug and alcohol test.
• Hold a current drivers licence.
