As Part of the Engineering team, this role works under the supervision of the Grooming Maintenance Manager, our Mechanics work to keep the resort running safely and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for repairs, maintenance & servicing on a range of Cummins and Mercedes Benz powered Pisten Bully Snow Groomers, Caterpillar, Cummins and Deutz Auxiliary/Evacuation Drives on Chair Lifts, and small tracked earth moving machines.
About the Role
Performing repairs, maintenance & servicing on a variety of equipment, including Cummins and Mercedes Benz powered Pisten Bully Snow Groomers, Caterpillar, Cummins and Deutz Auxiliary/Evacuation Drives on chairlifts, and small tracked earth moving machines
Assist with the maintenance of the KT Resort infrastructure, including outdoor work in all alpine weather conditions, and tasks involving working at heights or in confined spaces
Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and productively in a busy and fast paced environment
Ensuring compliance with workplace OHS and other safety regulations
Complete job cards accurately and in a timely manner
Skills & Experience
Qualified Vehicle Mechanic – Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical (Light Vehicle) or (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or equivalent (Essential)
Experience in maintenance of heavy vehicle, hydraulic drives, control systems, and specialised assemblies (Desirable)
Fabrication and welding experience (Desirable)
Current Qualification in Rigging, Dogging and Non-slewing Crane >3T (Desirable)
Previous Over-snow vehicle maintenance experience (Desirable)
Basic computer skills
Must have own trade essential tooling
Current First Aid (Desirable)
