We are looking for a talented Mechanical technician with either a light vehicle or heavy commercial qualification to join our high performing workshop team.
Specialising in Heavy Vehicle service, repairs and maintenance across mining, on-highway trucks, industrial and power generation applications at our modern state of the art Tomago facility located just 30mins from Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Deliver a first-class service to our customers

Complete service, repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products in our workshop

Support engine rebuilds
-
Diagnose and repair various engines predominately across mining, on-highway, industrial and power generation

Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Workshop Manager

Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards)

Previous repairs and maintenance assistance with Marine, Power Generation, On Highway Truck, Mining, Construction or Agriculture

Cummins or Diesel engine experience is desirable but not necessary

Solid diagnostic capabilities

Be a team player & be prepared to adhere to Cummins Policies

Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues / incidents to shift supervisors

First class onsite technical training facility providing training current and new product release as well as travelling to various locations for training is readily available
