We are looking for a talented Mechanical Technician with either a light vehicle or heavy commercial qualification to join our high performing workshop team.
Cummins specialises in Heavy Vehicle service, repairs and maintenance across mining, on-highway trucks, industrial and power generation applications at our Hume facility located 15KM from Canberra CBD.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Deliver a first-class service to our customers
- Complete service, repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products in our workshop
- Support engine rebuilds
- Diagnose and repair various engines predominately across on-highway, industrial and power generation
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Workshop Manager
- Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens
- Be part of a community of like-minded individuals, who value your input & are open to all viewpoints & communication
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards)
- Previous repairs and maintenance experience with Diesel Engines, Power Generation, On Highway Truck, Construction or Agriculture desirable but not essential.
- Diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities
- Be a team player & be prepared to adhere to Cummins Policies
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues / incidents to shift supervisors

$5,000 SIGN ON BONUS!! Competitive hourly + shift allowance rate paid as a permanent salary, Overtime penalties for all work above standard Monday to Friday 38-hour work week. Uniform.
