Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be part of the maintenance team at the Incitec Pivot Kooragang Island Distribution site. The maintenance team provides relevant and timely services to ensure that the distribution teams meet production and output requirements.

 

This role will suit a driven Electrician who is committed to their development and keen to make a difference in the workplace and to their team.

 

You will also be responsible for;

  • General electrical duties in the workshop and production areas.
  • Follow procedures to complete scheduled work, breakdown maintenance and preventative maintenance routines.
  • Fault finding & troubleshooting a wide range of production equipment, including Conveyor systems, electrical control systems and PLC’s, electrical motors and drives, bagging and spray systems and weighing equipment.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and termination diagrams including assessing, cross referencing and updating drawing databases.
  • Operating high voltage switchgear.
  • Scoping electrical work requirements including liaising with electrical wholesalers and contractors for quotes etc.

 

 

What you'll bring

We’re looking for an Electrician to eventually take ownership of the PDC electrical infrastructure, so experience with PLC’s, or having the aptitude for the learning will be paramount in being successful in this role. 

You will also have;

 

  • A commitment to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high - performance culture
  • Electrical Trade Qualifications
  • PLC programming experience or certification
  • HRWL Forklift ticket (preferred, although training can be provided for the right applicant)
  • HRWL Boom Type EWP ticket (preferred, although training can be provided for the right applicant)
  • HV Switching/ operators certificate (preferred, although training can be provided for the right applicant)
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of workmanship in line with Australian and company standards in a challenging industrial environment.
  • Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (preferred, although training can be provided for the right applicant)
  • Excellent communication skills required to liaise with production supervisors & operators to flexibly manage & prioritise maintenance work.
  • Technical aptitude and knowledge required to network with internal asset care and engineering support.
  • Strong problem solving skills, judgement and ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
