We are currently looking for a Business Administrator Apprentice to join our Supply Chain team. If you think you have got what it takes to be successful in this role then we want to hear from you.
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, UK
The Supply Chain Business Administration Apprentice will be responsible for supporting all aspects of purchasing and planning administration, including but not limited to, running reports, chasing orders, reviewing bills of materials to pull out key components, expediting purchase orders etc. They will be comfortable and capable of operating in a complex, fast paced, make-to-order manufacturing environment.
Hours of Work:
8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
Your main responsibilities:
• Running of daily reports including but not limited to overdue purchase orders, orderbooks and planning reports.
• Chasing order confirmations and expediting deliveries.
• Placing ad hoc indirect purchase orders for non-production items.
• Reviewing production orders to review critical production parts required to meet a production plan.
• Supporting with production planning reports.
• Assisting with vendor tickets in SAP.
• Supporting both buyers and planners with ad hoc administrative tasks.
• Maintaining organised files and records of business activity.
• Involvement in cost saving projects.
• Looking at process improvements.
• Any other tasks as requested by management.
Training:
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Training course: Business Administrator (Level 3)
• Minimum of Grade 4 in GCSE Maths and English.
• Excellent organisational and administration skills are essential
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Innovative – able to spot areas for improvement
