Job Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership, drive performance and ensure the effective execution of both planned & breakdown maintenance tasks.
About the role:
Lead the maintenance team that maintains the site’s Infrastructure, Services and associated Projects.
Driving continuous business improvement and quality assurance of maintenance performance using your excellent problem-solving skills. You will bring to the team fresh ideas and creative thinking to challenge the status quo.
The supervision of maintenance activities for the infrastructure mechanical maintenance team, ensuring all work is completed as scheduled to quality and safety standards whilst maintaining maintenance systems and ensuring integrity of recorded data.
Offering your team coaching and support to drive high performance by leveraging off your previous leadership experience.
Being accountable for advising a team of maintainers to achieve agreed maintenance goals. You will also provide a high level of support to the Infrastructure and Services Superintendent to ensure the overall mine plan is achieved within deadlines.
Being accountable for maintaining a safe workplace, providing visible leadership and coordinating the Infrastructure and Services Maintenance team to achieve agreed KPI’s.
Effective planning and negotiation skills with the ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in completing detailed analysis of equipment failures identifying improvement opportunities.
Roster and Location
Dayshift Roster Mon - Thurs, Tues - Fri work pattern (10 Hour Shifts)
Currently based on site at HVO South (off Comleroi Road, Warkworth)
About You
You are an engaging and enthusiastic leader, who is inspired by driving a high-performance culture through setting clear expectations, strong engagement with your team and recognising success.
Offering your team coaching and support to drive high performance by leveraging off your previous leadership experience.
Completion of frontline leadership or specific maintenance leadership competencies will be highly regarded.
Trade level qualifications in the mechanical field, combined with open cut mining experience are essential.
Project Management skills are essential, with proven ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, and timelines effectively.
Previous experience is a maintenance supervisory role and/or engineering qualifications are highly advantageous.
Exceptional communication skills and a high level of computer literacy.
Experience with the fundamentals of Asset Management and proficiency using SAP is desirable.
