Sports Turf Apprenticeship

About the role

AGA has partnered with local council, and we are currently looking for a hands on apprentice that enjoys working outdoors for this full-time apprenticeship in Sports Turf Management.

This role will see the successful candidate working a Monday to Friday roster within the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, while completing certificate III in Sports Turf Management at Melbourne Polytechnic.

You will work alongside a supportive team, that upholds a culture of open communication, quality of work and safety.

What you will be doing

• Learn how to maintain and care for sports turf surfaces.
• Operate and maintain turf equipment.
• Assist with mowing, irrigation, fertilizing, and turf repairs.

What we are looking for

• Interest in working outdoors and learning new skills.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.
• Current driver's license and reliable transportation
