Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a new Senior Mechanical Engineer for our new project in Newman. The new Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the engineering processes and ensuring that all engineering tasks align with the company’s safety protocols and quality standards. This role requires a seasoned professional to develop methodologies, address technical queries, and guide junior engineers while maintaining detailed registers, liaising with clients, and ensuring compliance with zero harm and safety KPI reporting.

What we are looking for 

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing complex engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, standards, and methodologies.
• Experience working within the mining, resources, or heavy industry sectors is highly desirable.
• Proficient in engineering software tools, such as AutoCAD and Navis works.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
