We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join GHD’s Buildings Engineering team in Canberra. 

You’ll be part of an industry-leading organisation dedicated to providing innovative HVAC, BMS and electrification solutions for interesting and challenging buildings projects, with your role offering scope for growth into leadership positions as you guide and mentor others.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Leading high-profile projects involving nationally significant buildings that shape the built environment.
• Overseeing mechanical engineering design for HVAC, BMS, and electrification systems within complex construction initiatives.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, sustainable solutions.
• Providing clients with expert technical guidance and strategic advice
• Providing leadership to project teams and offering guidance and mentoring to junior team members

What would you bring to the team?

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with 10 – 15 years of experience in building services from within a consulting environment.
• Proven expertise in HVAC systems, BMS, and electrification.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
• A passion for delivering high-quality, bespoke solutions and mentoring others.
