We're searching for a Senior Mechanical Draftsperson with strong SolidWorks knowledge. You will play a crucial role as the Senior Draftsperson in turning concepts into reality. You will own the process for creating detailed and accurate mechanical drawings, ensuring designs are meeting company standards and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed designs in SolidWorks of our standard parts and product range
  • Building SolidWorks models that match manufacturing processes and incorporate common components
  • Preparing production ready 3D models and produce 2D documentation, with all necessary details required for production, inclusive of manufacturing and welding annotations
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality standards
  • Liaise with relevant parties to understand the manufacturing process
  • Ability to work within strict project deadlines, while producing high standards and exceeding expectations
  • Drive innovation & provide guidance to junior draftspeople within the business

    • About you:

  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical Drafting or extensive proven experience
  • 5+ years' experience in Mechanical Drafting
  • Experienced user of SolidWorks 3D modelling/drafting
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design standards
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials
  • Detail-orientated with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others and understand the how your role impacts the production process
  • Proactive, curious, high level of self-responsibility, high standards
