About the role:      


Fire and Rescue NSW is seeking expressions of interest from Year 10 students interested in completing a School Based Apprenticeship in Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in Years 11 and 12.

  • 2 targeted questions

  • Attach a brief cover letter and/or resume with some information about themselves. This may include their social interests e.g. sports or hobbies, and any paid or volunteer work they have undertaken

  • Name of their school and contact details of their teacher or careers advisor


Please note: As part of their application, students must answer the following two questions with a word limit of 300 words for each question.


Question 1: Why do you want to work in the Heavy Automotive Industry?


Question 2: Give an example of a personal goal you set yourself and how you reached it.
