Hydrilla is a leader in the Commercial Pool and Aquatics Industry, working on some of the most iconic pools and aquatic projects Australia wide. Our work varies from Design and Construction of new swimming pools and aquatic centres, Major Renovations of existing pools, facilities and plantrooms, Repairs and Servicing for pools and water treatment systems in public and commercial spaces.

We are currently looking to fill a permanent, full-time role for a qualified electrician. Our Electricians are involved in the design, construction and support of electrical systems and controls involved in public swimming pools and recreational aquatic facilities. The position is required to work across a large variety of projects helping construction, service and project teams as required, working collaboratively with other staff.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Installation: Install electrical equipment, safety and distribution components for water treatment plant and other systems, including pumps, dosing equipment, UV systems, pool lights, and equipotential bonding,
  • Investigation: Perform electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics, and prevent breakdowns by routine inspection and upgrades where necessary,
  • Implementation: Develop and execute wiring plans for pools, spas, splash parks, water slides and other recreational aquatic systems,
  • Collaboration: Support the electrical supervisor to develop and execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning electrical systems, and supervision and support of Electrical Apprentices as required,
  • Safety Compliance: Support site managers to oversee site works, ensuring compliance to WHS and quality systems,
  • Site Maintenance: Helping to maintain a clean and safe job site at all times, contributing to a positive and professional image for our company.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Unrestricted rights to work in Australia (we are unable to sponsor overseas applications or support working visas with restrictions currently),
  • Full electrical license (essential)
  • Current, unrestricted C Class Driver’s License (essential),
  • Construction Industry White Card (desirable),
  • Fault Finding skills and experience (desirable)
  • Electrical Maintenance skills and experience (desirable)
  • Current Low Voltage Rescue Certificate (desirable)
