Key Responsibilities

We require a suitably Qualified Electrician with a focus to learn and develop within the fire industry. You will interact professionally with clients, colleagues and will represent the company with integrity.

This position does not require you to have previous knowledge within the fire industry.

In accordance with Australian standards your key responsibilities will be:-

• To develop skills in the Fire Industry to Service, test, inspect, maintain and repair fire detection, alarm and warning systems.
• Testing and Repairs of emergency & exit lighting systems
• Learn how to install/modify fire alarm systems
• Ability to learn to re-connect and dis-connect fire systems
• Reporting on your activities, compliance issues and health & safety matters

The ideal candidate must have:

• Qualified Electrician
• A current QBCC Licence in Electrican Stream (ideal but not essential)
• A valid Open Driver’s Licence
• Proven industry experience servicing, repairing, maintaining and installing electrical systems
• A strong service focus
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to lead and deal with a range of people
• The ability to work autonomously with a pro-active approach to managing deadlines
• A high degree of health and safety awareness
• A level of fitness to be able to undertake a broad range of physical tasks
