The Project Mechanical Engineering Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating all mechanical engineering activities for a large-scale hybrid power generation project.

This project comprises a Thermal Power Station,a Solar Farm, Wind Farm and a Battery Energy Storage System. This role involves managing internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure compliance, safety, and technical quality across all project phases.

 What you’ll do as Project Mechanical Engineering Lead;

  • Leadership and coordination of all mechanical engineering activities.
  • Providing design and technical oversight for the hybrid power generation project.
  • Ensuring successful project delivery in alignment with technical specifications and timelines.
  • Engaging with various stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety, compliance, and quality standards across all engineering workstreams.


You are ;

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in power generation or renewable energy sectors.
  • Possession of Chartered or near-Chartered Engineer status, with qualifications meeting Queensland, Australia's specific engineering requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in High Voltage (HV) systems, hybrid power systems, and engineering leadership roles.
