About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Electrician to join our Mining & Industrial Production team on a full-time permanent basis. Based out of our Canning Vale WA headquarters and reporting to the Electrical Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the production on the Test Rig system, associated products, and work activities. In addition, you will be focused on adhering to regulatory and company compliance standards in a timely and quantitative manner.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, report, and rectify faults ensuring that fault reports are completed and communicated to the Electrical Supervisor.
Ensure that standardised procedures and processes are adhered to and documented.
General upkeep and ongoing maintenance of Test Rigs, related components, and the Test Area.
Meet quality-orientated targets through regular Quality Checks conducted by the Electrical Production Supervisor.
Manufacture and assemble switchboards on time and to regulatory standards.
Review and evaluate related electrical drawing work packs for accuracy.
Involvement with the mentoring of apprentices and other team members.
Apply LEAN principles to drive continuous improvement within the division.
Demonstrate compliance with Allied Pumps policies and procedures, including but not limited to Health and Safety.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will come from an electrical trade background with an aptitude for mechanical and/or pump and water systems. You will also need strong communication skills and be comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team to assist clients with their needs, while delivering high-quality products and services on time. Other key attributes include:
Proven experience in a similar Production Electrician position, ideally in a production or manufacturing environment.
High-Risk Forklift Licence (desirable).
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully communicate and liaise with people at all levels - internal and external to Allied Pumps.
Hold a valid A-Grade Electrical Licence in WA.
Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks effectively.
High attention to detail.
Understanding of Electrical Australian Standards.
Intermediate experience using MS Suite products.
