The Opportunity

HeliMods are seeking an experienced Product Support Engineer with between 3-7 years of relevant industry experience that have a real passion for technology and innovation. This position is within a growing part of the Engineering team and provides opportunities for building new organisational capability. As a member of the Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering team, this position collaborates with all our important customers, our integration and field service engineers and our production organisation to achieve successful product support and continuously improve our products to service a growing market.

This role will require you to apply problem solving to respond to stakeholder needs, determine and implement design updates with associated certification as required, plan implementations and continuously improve HeliMods organisational capabilities in test, technical data and training.

If successful, you will be working on exciting new products for our civil and military clients, and will be responsible within your team for timely, high-quality delivery against challenging project targets.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in any relevant engineering discipline but particularly interested in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering specialities
  • 3-7 years relevant aerospace or mechanical engineering industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting test and reviews of physical products
  • Demonstrated experience in technical content generation and associated training to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in customer facing roles with an ability to advocate for the customer with internal stakeholders
  • Experience with 3D design software and simulation tools software design and analysis would be highly rated (Siemens NX and Advanced Sim preferred)
  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management software (Siemens Teamcenter preferred)
  • The energy, intelligence and initiative to proactively overcome industries’ toughest challenges
  • Experience collaborating with design engineers and other stakeholders to address non-compliance issues and develop effective solutions
  • Good working knowledge of CASR Part 21 strongly desirable
  • A structured approach to working with an ability to deliver despite ambiguity that allows you to thrive in a highly autonomous environment
