As our Plumbing Leading Hand, you’ll work on the assembly line, take ownership of your station, and make sure every fitting, pipe and component is built to the highest standard. About the Role

You’ll lead plumbing assembly tasks at your station, keeping everything flowing smoothly and safely. Expect variety, hands-on work, and strong support from your crew.

You can expect to:

  • Lead and coordinate plumbing assembly tasks at allocated stations
  • Allocate work and manage workflow to meet schedule and quality standards
  • Ensure accurate assembly in line with drawings, plans and specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing assembly issues quickly to keep production on track
  • Liaise professionally with site staff, contractors, suppliers and clients
  • Provide updates and information for the Daily Site Diary
  • Complete required records, documentation and reports
  • Operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment safely and correctly
  • Identify and report safety, environmental and quality issues immediately
  • Report accidents, incidents and near misses in line with procedures
  • Support apprentices and new starters to work safely and follow correct processes

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • Qualified tradesperson (Certificate III in Plumbing) with solid experience in mechanical plumbing or a related field
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leading-hand role
  • Ability to read and interpret technical plumbing drawings and specifications
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality in everything you do
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and the ability to keep your cool under pressure
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills to lead a diverse team
  • Permanent working rights in Australia

Desirable:

  • Certificate III in Process Manufacturing or Engineering (Fabrication)
  • White Card, Silica Awareness and Asbestos Awareness certifications
  • Experience in assembly or manufacturing environments
