About the role:

Thamarrurr Development Corporation (TDC) located in Wadeye are seeking qualified a qualified plumber to join our Housing & Construction team.

  • Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and fit off to a high standard, compliant with relevant plumbing regulations and standards
  • Review scheduled jobs, work orders and plans to accurately determine work details and requirements and ensure work is executed according to specifications provided
  • Maintain a safe working environment ensuring the safety of any personnel under direct supervision
  • Efficient administration of all jobs including but not limited to the completion of JSA’s, SWMS, Photos and Job Details in a professional manner to allow for successful billing and auditing
  • Completion of CoC’s (licence dependent)
  • Plumbing Stock/Material Management including monitoring stock levels, movement and ordering requirements
  • Work alongside and mentor local indigenous trades assistants and Plumbing Apprentices, providing on-the-job training and support where required.
  • Assist in the writing of specifications and estimates for repairs and construction.
  • Maintain appropriate service and repair records.
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Maintain registration with the NT Building Practitioners as a Certifying Plumber and Drainer

Job Specific Criterion

  • NT Advanced Licenced Plumber (Registered with the NT Plumbers and Drainers Licencing Board) or ability to obtrain/transfer registration
  • Highly Desirable – Fully qualified Self Certifying NT Plumber (Registered as a Certifying Plumber and Drainer wth the NT Plumbers and Drainers Licencing Board + PWC Accreditation or abiity to obtain/transfer

Essential Licences / Clearances prior to commencement

  • Criminal History Clearance
  • NT Construction Industry White Card
  • NLC Work Permit
  • Current NT C Class Driver’s License
  • Medical Clearance
  • NT Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working at Heights Qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
