About the Role

A trade qualified plumber required to support clients within the community with minor plumbing, home maintenance and minor modification tasks. Adhering to the guidelines of the Home Assist Secure service

Key Role Accountabilities:

  • Carry out a range of maintenance plumbing tasks as well as other minor maintenance jobs assigned in a timely and cost effective manner, with due regard to safety.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation as it relates to building work.
  • Ensure maintenance equipment and tools are regularly checked and serviced.
  • To adopt a customer service and continuous quality improvement focus.
  • Maintain stock of materials.
  • In conjunction with the Service Coordinator, liaise with contractors as appropriate.
  • Advise the Service Coordinator on all issues relevant to the maintenance and safe use of plant and equipment and changes thereto.
  • Provide clients with accurate quotes on all work.
  • Report to the Service Coordinator regularly to provide progress reports and maintain a record of time to facilitate accurate costing.

About You

  • Plumbing Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality services in the areas of maintenance and repairs.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate time and material requirements, and achieve high quality outcomes.
  • Sound interpersonal and organisational skills with a customer service focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision to meet customer service requirements.
  • Understanding and commitment to workplace health & safety requirements, equal employment opportunity and continuous quality improvement.
