Mineco has operations throughout NSW, QLD & SA which provides mining services in a wide range of fields incl. equipment operations, Specialist operator and mining strategy training, engineering/technical services and Equipment maintenance. Mineco has a position available for an experienced Plant Mechanic to join its maintenance team. This is an opportunity to work as part of a team to deliver quality mining services to our valued clients in the Hunter Valley Region.

About the Role

Mineco is growing rapidly and are seeking an experienced site-based fitter to join its Maintenance team in the Hunter Valley Region on a permanent basis. This role is a unique opportunity to demonstrate your mechanical knowledge in a mining environment.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment including CAT Trucks Dozers & Loaders, Hitachi excavators’ other ancillary equipment including Crushers and Screens

• Refer to technical documentation including relevant manuals, OEM's computer-based systems.

• Diagnostics and fault finding

• General Maintenance

• Servicing

• Breakdowns

• Component Change outs

• Conduct required inspection to maximize equipment utilisation.

• Willing to work away as required

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent

• Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry

• Crushing Experience

• Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment

• Demonstrated experience with Liebherr, Hitachi and Cat large earthmoving equipment

• Diagnostic experience

• Must be a great team player

• Self-driven and ability to work autonomously

• Understanding of maintenance planning basics

• Experience seeking & reviewing OEM literature

• Self-starter

• Ability to work well un-supervised

• Comfortable to liaise with clients & suppliers as required

• Comfortable mentoring others within the work environment

• HRWL

• Working @ heights licence

• MDG25

• Motor Vehicle license

• Crusher and Screen experience
